One-click & auto-generated books (Quick Mode)

Knowledge Base / Getting Started /One-click & auto-generated books (Quick Mode)

Short on time, or just want to see a finished draft fast? BookZeta can generate a complete book, comic or kids' book in one go — outline, every chapter or page, cover, and images — instead of you building it piece by piece. This is often called Quick Mode, and the same power is available as an auto-generate option right on the create screen.

Turn on auto-generate

When you start a new project, fill in the basics (format, genre, audience, title and a short synopsis), then tick "Automatically Generate Full Story" (Writer formats) or "Automatically Generate Full Book" (Graphic formats). The form expands to reveal the generation settings.

You choose:

  • How many chapters (Writer) or pages (Graphic) to generate.
  • An art style (Graphic formats), used for every generated image.
  • Generation options (see below).

A live estimated cost updates as you change these so you always know the price before you commit.

Generation options

  • Separate Dialogue & Narration (Graphic) — places speech and captions as editable text layers on top of the art instead of drawing them into the image, so you can tweak the words later.
  • Premium AI Models — higher-quality writing and art (costs more).
  • 2K image quality — larger, sharper images (costs more).
  • Print-Ready — adds a spine and optimizes the files for physical print.

What gets generated

Once you click Create Project, BookZeta builds the whole work in the background:

  • a structured outline,
  • all of the chapters (Writer) or all of the pages with artwork (Graphic),
  • a cover, and optional interior images.

You're taken straight into the editor, which shows live progress as chapters or pages fill in — you don't have to wait on a blank screen.

Which formats support one-click

  • Writer editor: books / novels and short stories.
  • Graphic editor: children's books, comics, graphic novels and webtoons.

Prefer a say in the structure? Use Advanced Mode

If one-click feels too hands-off, Advanced Mode is the middle ground: it generates a synopsis and an outline you can edit, and then writes the chapters from your approved outline. See Choosing a creation mode for how the modes compare.

Cost

Auto-generation spends Creation Points — more for longer works and for the premium/2K/print-ready options. The estimate on the create screen is your guide; nothing is charged until you confirm.

It's only a starting point

A generated book is fully editable afterward — rewrite, restructure, regenerate images, or redesign the cover by hand. See Editing a generated book by hand.
