The Spare Room

The ordinary married couple Daniel and Laura Mercer moved into an inexpensive house in a quiet English town. The property featured three bedrooms yet the previous owner stressed repeatedly that the smallest bedroom had never been used and offered no further details on the matter.

Daniel who worked from home converted the spare room into an office space. Subtle shifts soon emerged. A pen rested on the opposite side of the desk from where it had been left.
