Synopsis
The sun-baked town of Dry Wells is dying of thirst. Bishop Taggart and his syndicate control the only water source, bleeding the settlers dry. Into this wasteland rides Cora Vance—a woman haunted by her past, her gun belt carrying six bullets and a heavy conscience. When she guns down one of Taggart's envoys in a brutal declaration of war, the desperate townspeople see a potential savior. Among them are grief-stricken widow Marta Reyes, hot-headed rancher Roman Pike, and a mute boy named Jory who communicates through charcoal sketches. But Cora's bravado hides a secret: she once served as Taggart's trusted lieutenant. Now she must decide whether to run from the monster she helped create or stand and face him. As Taggart retaliates with deadly force, Cora leads the settlers into a treacherous canyon maze, pursued by a fearsome dust storm and Taggart's relentless guns. A violent confrontation atop a rickety windmill reveals the true stakes—a hidden aquifer that could save the valley or doom them all. For fans of gritty Westerns and redemption arcs, this comic delivers blistering action, moral complexity, and a heroine forged from regret and resolve.
