What goes in a series bible
- Character sheets — appearance, voice, motivations, relationships, and what each character knows at each point in the timeline. (Eye color changing between books is the classic giveaway of a missing bible.)
- World rules — geography, technology or magic systems, politics, institutions. Rules you establish in book one are promises to the reader.
- Timeline — what happened when, both on-page and in backstory.
